Multimedia Center for Traditional Music
New technologies of the museum world
Times change and the old format of museums with a standard exposure under glass display cases ceases to be of interest to the public. Therefore, in 2016, the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Nursultan Nazarbayev, commissioned the creation of the first Multimedia Center in Kazakhstan, where you can also get acquainted with video and audio materials related to the history of traditional Kazakh music.
The museum collection contains instruments of famous figures of Kazakh art, some of which were transferred from the fund of the Ykhlas Museum of Folk Musical Instruments. Also in the museum you will be able to see a special gift from the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan Nursultan Nazarbayev - his personal dombra and the sculpture “Steppe tunes”, which is dedicated to one of the legendary Kazakh kuishi Dina Nurpeisova.
