Almaty Creative Association, established on January 14, 1935. Since 1938, it has been named after the famous Kazakh akyn Zhambyl Zhabayev. «The Kazakh State Philharmonic named after Zhambyl has been the cultural center of Almaty and the Republic of Kazakhstan for many years. This is confirmed by the constant interest of residents and guests of the city in its activities and concert programs.

The Philharmonic’s creative collectives, for their part, strive to fulfill the main tasks of forming the spiritual needs of listeners on the basis of high musical classical art and folk art, promoting music by both foreign composers and composers of Kazakhstan.»
