May – September

 

In spring, the city is filled with the scent of flowers, and trees start to blossom. In summer, Almaty is buried in greenery; more than a 100 of fountains start working again, and you can enjoy the coolness of those on sunny days. This season is ideal for cycling and hiking.

Landscapes of magical beauty, snow-covered slopes, a variety of trails, and a high level of service are all available to residents and guests of the city in the winter. The beginning of the ski season starts in the first week of November and lasts until March.

Visa

Citizens of 60 countries do not need a visa to enter Kazakhstan. Depending on their citizenship, foreign citizens can stay in Kazakhstan for a period of 14 to 90 days without a visa. In all other cases, foreign citizens must apply for a visa to the diplomatic representatives of Kazakhstan abroad.
