In 2013, the athlete visited the children’s village in Astana (now Nur-Sultan) and a boarding school in Almaty. In 2014, the funds raised from the Denis Ten and Friends ice show in the capital were sent to a 6-year-old boy, Nursat Zhakypbay, who has neuroleukemia and needed expensive operations abroad.
At the debut world championship in 2009, Denis became a sensation of the tournament.
