Margulan Alkey Khakanovich

He was born on May 11, 1904 on the territory of the modern Bayanaul district near the village of Koktobe.
It comes from the subgenus Aidabol of the genus Suyindyk of the Argyn tribe of the Middle Zhuz.

Kazakh scientist, archaeologist, orientalist, historian, literary critic, art historian, founder of the Kazakh school of archaeology and ethnography.

Academician A.Kh. Margulan is a brilliant scientist who has extensively and deeply researched the ethnic history, material and spiritual culture of the Kazakh people from the point of view of science.

In January 2008, a monument to A. Margulan was unveiled in Almaty in the park to the west of the building of the Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
