Happy is the people who have a son who remembers the past of the country, and selflessly working for his future.
For Kazakhstan such a person was Dinmukhamed Akhmedovich Kunayev. An outstanding state and socio-political figure, diplomat, academician, he was at the top of state power for about 45 years. With this outstanding personality the era of the heyday of Soviet Kazakhstan is connected. Opening of the museum D. Kunaev, located at: ul. Tulebayev, 117, was held in January 2002 and was timed to coincide with the 90th anniversary of the birth of DA Kunaev. The museum of DA Kunaev consists of three exposition halls. In the first hall, visitors get acquainted with the genealogy of Dinmukhamed Akhmetovich, with the conditions and circumstances of his life. In the second room, visitors can see DA's personal belongings. Kunaev and gifts from the Prime Minister of India, Indira Gandhi, Shah of Iran Pahlavi, former US President D. Eisenhower and others. In the third room, Dinmukhamed Akhmetovich's cabinet was reproduced to some extent in the Government House, in which he worked in the 1950s. Interest in the personality of DA Kunaev does not die out over the years, and therefore in the year of his century the Memorial Apartment Museum was opened in the house where he lived. The walls of this hospitable house have seen many famous people: state and public figures, diplomats, writers, actors, athletes and ordinary citizens. All of them came to express their love and respect for this extraordinary man. DA Kunaev was proclaimed the "Man of the Century". Far from everyone gets this title. The people appreciated and still remember everything that was done by Dinmukhamed Akhmedovich.
