Megapolis, which grew out of their bodies, symbolizes their strength and imbibed their rebellious spirit of restlessness. The boiling pot of life, a hospitable home for representatives of hundreds of peoples and cultures. The center of attraction for people of art and travelers from all over the world. In the city there are thousands of colours, in the palette of which there is a place for everyone.
This great amount of colors would not have been possible without the environment in which the city is inscribed. Hidden in a mountain valley, he does not hurry to reveal his secrets, but as soon as you watch out and go on a short trip, everything becomes obvious. Bright blue lake is hidden in the mountains from timid eyes, surrounded by emerald noble of pine forests, full of colored berries and flowers. Further, the mountainous terrain gradually gives way to gray-yellow steppe, sparkling then with red poppy glow, trees hang the last bow, passing you to the open blue horizon. After some time the steppe turns to a desert, from which suddenly, like a mirage, occur the orange canyons or sapphire strip of a cyclopean lake, not inferior to other seas by its scale.
This region creates a living palette that the city takes on and reproduces in its own way, embodying the diversity in the culture, traditions and lights of the equalizer of modern life.
“Zhetysu – an earthly paradise” say Kazakhs, singing Zhetysu as an earth heaven. For the Kazakhs it is in a sense a sacral land, a place of power - their ancestors, the Saka, lived here, and here the Kazakh Khanate was formed. This region is rich in natural attractions, which are located in such natural parks as Ile-Alatau, Charyn, Altyn-Emel, and also in the reserves of Alakol and Almaty. Zhetysu is full of contrasts: while the Tien Shan and Dzungarian Alatau mountains are covered with snow, the hot and arid expanses of the Taukum and Moyynkum deserts await you when you go down. Also in the region there is the highest peak of Kazakhstan Khan-Tengri (6995 m).
